love this school, when i attended Mr Oliver was head master. now my own kids attended and the school still has the same feel about it. all the teachers are amazing.

Oldest girl in the school this year have to make a good example for all the little ones love this school its the best.I cant believe i am leaving this year it seams like just yesterday Mrs.Todd was teaching me the alphabet and my 123s.

i went to rathenraw integrated from the years 1990 till 1997 it was a cool school and its a pity that all the teachers that were there when i was are not there anymore,

Rathenraw is an excellent school and very very friendly the children are amazing and I am glad that I took the post as secretary I have made so many new friends ( U know who u r ). We have real characters in the school and I don't only mean the children. Many thanks to everyone at Rathenraw. Ah well Amanda & Christie your just the bee's knee's.

Heyy. I Did My Placement At This School And It Was Definatly The Best Placement I've Ever Been On. I Have Been Trying To Get Some Friday Free To Go Back Up And Visit But My Coursework And My Work Has Been Creeping Up On Mee. I Really Miss Everyone! All The Staff Are So Friendly And Helpful. Mrs Davies Was So Much Help To Me And Really Helped Me Settle In. I Nearly Cried When I Had To Go.
Rathenraw Primary Has To Be The Best School In Antrim And I Would Recomend It To Anyone.

Mr Oliver, should have been Sir Mr Oliver. I sang for the school choir 1982 -85. I met Mr Oliver many years later and he asked if my singing voice was still angelic. I was holding a ciggie in my hand when he asked, I often regret that. It did not surprise me he remembered, he was a truly brilliant man, closely followed by Mr Waddell. It was a great school in difficult times. Mr Oliver always greeting us in the morning at the school gates. For me, Mr Oliver and Mr Waddell made the sunshine brighter. The teachers in Ardnaveigh High were also brilliant, particularly Mr Sleith, Mrs Anderson, Mr Bell, Mr Simpson. In life, I have not met anyone who equals the quality caring staff, that I did have at school. I never got to say thanks. THANKS>

Hi, I left Rathenraw Primary School, as it was then, about 15 years ago. Like GILLIAN none of my teachers are still there. I don't remember many of my teachers, only Mrs Allen who I think taught me p5, Mrs Turkington, p6, and Mr Gough, p7. Mr Oliver was my headmaster at the time, and was a lovely gentleman. I remember he used to stand at the school gate when we were coming and going from school and he always used to call me sausage suzie. I don't know why, but I loved having my own little nickname that Mr Oliver had chose. :o) Its so good to see that Rathenraw I.P.S. is still open, unlike many other schools in Antrim. If I was still living in Antrim, my little one would be going there. This has brought back some fond memories! :o)

I attended Rathenraw 1981-1986.
it was a great school Mr Oliver was the Headmaster and the teachers were great.I am now married with two kids and living in England but when i go over home i still drive by to see if its still there i even called in once and was made so welcome.I have often tried to get in contact with some old school friends but most of them will have moved away from the area now to.Its nice to see the school is still doing well and no doubt i will drive past again next year with my kids and tell them all about it.

I started Rathenraw in 1979 - p1 Miss Martin, p2 Miss Johnson and p3 Miss Canning. Moved away in p4. Just stumbled across this site. Hi to Kevin and Stuart if you are still posting - we were neighbours!

Wow...blast from the past. I was there when Rathenraw first opened in 1978. Started in P4 Mrs Young's class...went onto have Mrs Glass, Miss Turkington and Mr Gough...whatever happened to him I wonder. Mr Oliver was a wonderful man...strict but always fair. My father still lives in Antrim and I drive past Rathenraw from time to time just to show my children.Happy times.Wonder what ever happened to all those guys...there was only 14 in my class back then...where is Maxi or Ausin anyway ? Now I'm a teacher and have been for 12years..wow....who would have thought it. Great school...great lagacy.

Hi everyone. I left this gr8 school TWENTY FIVE YEARS AGO! It was a great time in my life. looking at the current staff it appears none of the teachers from my day are there anymore. I started in P2 when my teacher was Miss Hamilton, then Mrs Canning in P3, Mrs Young in P4, Miss Turkington in P5, Miss Moore in P6 and Mr Gough in P7. Mr Olliver, who has sadly passed away, was a total gentleman who made attending the school all the more enjoyable

Hi, I'm 34 now and went to RPS a long time ago...what a great school it was then and I'm sure it is now. Mr Oliver was the head then, Mr Gough P7, Mr Waddle (I think) P6, Mrs Turkington P5, Mrs Metcalfe, Mrs Canning and not forgetting the best dinnerladies in the world, or I though so. A great school that gives me many happy memories..thank you...
