Rathenraw is an INTEGRATED primary school. This means Catholic and Protestant children are educated together with children of other faiths and none. All abilities are catered for and we have a special needs unit in our school too. Our children share aspects of their education therefore, on a daily basis, and learn to grow up without prejudice, respecting one another's differences. If you're interested in this type of education for your children, you should phone the school and ask for a prospectus and an enrolment form. Remember, having your child educated at an integrated primary school is one of the entrance criteria for admission to many integrated colleges too!

A fairly good time had by all!
Parents, teachers and kids had a great time at our fair on Friday 26th September 2008 There were tons and tons of prizes to be won, a bric-a-brac stall, tombola, face painting, spot-the-duck, etc. As well as having a great time we managed to raise loads of cash for school funds! Some of us managed to get our faces into the Guardian and the Times as well. Honestly, they'll print anything!
we will remember them.. Two of our pupils represented us at the Cenotaph in Antrim on Remembrance Sunday. Local school children passed wreaths to the different organisations to be laid in front of the memorial. It's vital to teach our children about the horrors of war and to try and promote peace in our own country and abroad. |
